Moodubelle, March 4:
St. Lawrence English Medium School arranged a farewell programme for the 10th Standard students with great joy, gratitude, and emotion.
The programme began with a grand procession led by the band set students, followed by the 10th Standard students and dignitaries — the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza; Administrator CA Pritish Burton D’Sa; Headmistress Mrs. Sandra Lucica Lobo; and PTA President Mrs. Surekha. Management committee members Mr. Joel D’Sa and Mrs. Precilla Lobo were also present. The solemn yet proud procession created a memorable atmosphere for the outgoing students.

The programme commenced with a melodious prayer song invoking God’s blessings upon the students as they prepared to step into a new phase of life.

The dignitaries were then escorted to the dais and accorded a warm floral welcome.

Ankith of Grade 9 delivered the welcome speech, extending greetings to the dignitaries, teachers, parents, and dear students.

On behalf of the SSLC students, Mrs. Syreeta Fernandes and Ashwitha Lobo shared their heartfelt experiences. They expressed deep gratitude towards the management, teachers, and parents for their constant guidance, support, and encouragement throughout their school journey.


Reenal Barboza of Grade 9 shared her thoughts and conveyed warm wishes to the seniors. She appreciated their friendship, leadership, and inspiration, and wished them success in all their future endeavours.

Addressing the gathering, Headmistress Mrs. Sandra Lucica Lobo delivered an inspiring message. She reminded the students that they were stepping into a new phase of life. She emphasized that the values, discipline, and knowledge gained at school would guide them towards success. She encouraged them to believe in themselves, stay focused, and trust in God. She expressed pride in each one of them and wished them a bright future and success in their examinations.

Administrator CA Pritish Burton D’Sa highlighted that the students had filled the institution with emotions and built a strong bond with the school. He described them as brand ambassadors of the institution. Comparing their journey from a small well to a vast ocean, he encouraged them to excel in life while remaining humble. He assured them that they would always be remembered and wished them all the best for their examinations.

Correspondent Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza addressed the gathering and emphasized that a school is not merely a building but a second home. He stated that dedication, commitment, and honesty lead to success. He reminded the students that life is a challenge, a competition, and an examination, and that if they prepare well, success will be theirs. With a prayerful heart, he bid them farewell and encouraged them to become responsible and successful individuals in society. He reminded them that the school had laid a strong foundation for their future and blessed all the 10th Standard students, praying for God’s guidance in every step of their lives.

A special felicitation was held for teachers Mrs. Alwina and Ms. Manuja, who will not be continuing in the next academic year, in appreciation of their dedicated service.

Prizes were distributed for the squad-wise competitions conducted in the school.

A touching blessing ceremony with a candle prayer was conducted by Management committee member Mr Joel Dsa along with the dignitaries and teachers for the 10th Grade students, making the moment deeply emotional and meaningful.

Tokens of love and remembrance were presented to the SSLC students as a mark of affection and appreciation.





The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Anish of Grade 9, who expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.

The event concluded with a cultural programme,


including the Mr. Lawrencian and Miss Lawrencian competitions and fun games, bringing smiles and joy to the gathering while creating lasting memories for the outgoing students.

The farewell programme ended on an emotional yet hopeful note, as the school community wished the 10th Standard students great success in their examinations and a bright future ahead.
