Moodubelle, Feb. 14: St. Lawrence English Medium School celebrated the Kindergarten Convocation and Prathibha Sinchana, a day dedicated to showcasing various skills, with great joy and enthusiasm at the St. Lawrence Church Hall.
The programme began with a grand procession of the tiny graduates, creating a proud and memorable atmosphere for parents and teachers. The event commenced with an introduction, followed by a melodious prayer song seeking God’s blessings. The dignitaries were escorted to the dais and accorded a floral welcome.





The gathering was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Sandra Lucica Lobo, Headmistress of the school, who expressed her happiness and pride in the achievements of the young graduates.





Mrs. Rovina Jathanna presented the Annual Report, highlighting the academic and co-curricular activities of the kindergarten section during the year.

Mrs. Alwina introduced the Chief Guest, Mrs. Aswita Shalet Dsouza, Member of the District Child Welfare Committee, in her address Mrs. Aswita fondly recalled her childhood education in Moodubelle. She shared that when students achieve success, teachers feel the greatest happiness and pride. She congratulated the UKG students, emphasized the importance of education, advised parents and children to use social media wisely, and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Management Committee members and teachers.

The Administrator, CA Pritish Burton D’sa, congratulated the kindergarten children on successfully completing this important stage of their education. He appreciated the inspiring speech of the Chief Guest and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents for placing their trust in the institution. He further informed that the school plans to introduce several positive changes in the upcoming academic year to enhance the quality of education and the overall development of students.

The Correspondent and President of the programme, Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza, congratulated the UKG students and stated that parents and teachers are like ladders in a child’s life. Both must work together for the betterment of the child, as cooperation between home and school helps the child grow and improve. He emphasized that good education is essential to becoming a responsible citizen of society and assured that the institution is committed to providing quality education. He also requested parents to continue supporting and cooperating with the school.

The Convocation Ceremony was the most awaited moment, when the UKG students proudly received their certificates, marking an important milestone in their educational journey. Mrs. Elvina Lobo, the UKG teacher, read out the names of the recipients. The UKG toppers were felicitated for their outstanding performance, and alumna Ms. Melissa D’Souza was also honoured for her selfless service to the institution.





Adding colour and vibrancy to the celebration, cultural programmes were presented by the LKG and UKG students, as well as by students from various skill classes such as dance, keyboard, Sanskrit, and Taekwondo. Their enthusiastic performances were highly appreciated by the audience and made the programme lively and memorable.

Management Committee members Mr. Joel D’sa and Mr. Ivan Menezes, along with Senior Teacher Mrs. Precilla Lobo, were present on the occasion. The programme was compered gracefully by Ms. Veeksha R. Acharya and Ms. Anvitha Mathias.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Dancy Mendonca, expressing sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, parents, staff, and students for making the event a grand success.

The celebration was indeed a memorable and proud occasion for the little graduates as they stepped forward into a new phase of learning.
