Moodubelle, Jan 24: Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) Meeting Report
The Parent–Teacher Association (PTA) meeting was held in the church hall at 10.00am in a cordial and purposeful atmosphere, with the aim of strengthening the bond between parents and the school.
The meeting commenced with a prayer song rendered by the teachers, invoking God’s blessings on the gathering and the institution.
The dignitaries present for the meeting were the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza; the Administrator, CA Pritish Burton Dsa; the Headmistress, Mrs. Sandra Lobo; the PTA President, Mrs. Surekha; and the President of the Alumni Association, Mr. Glen Larson Rebello.

The programme continued with a warm and gracious welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Maria Barboza, who extended a hearty welcome to all the dignitaries, parents, teachers, and students present.

The report of the previous PTA meeting was then read out by Mrs. Vidyavathi, highlighting the important discussions, decisions taken, and actions implemented.

Following this, the Headmistress, Mrs. Sandra Lobo, delivered a comprehensive address during the PTA meeting, focusing on critical aspects of student discipline, academics, and school operations.
She stressed the importance of students arriving on time to maintain discipline and maximize learning opportunities.
Parents were advised to prioritize their children’s studies, including signing unit test books regularly to monitor academic progress.Evening extra classes are being conducted to aid exam preparation. The 10th standard preparatory examinations are ongoing, with the school striving for a 100% qualitative result.
A change in squad uniforms was also announced to enhance student appearance and unity.
The meeting continued with valuable suggestions from the parents.


PTA President Mrs. Surekha emphasized the importance of parental involvement during her address. She thanked parents for their invaluable support in respectfully conducting Teachers’ Day and Sports Day, acknowledging that their contributions made these events successful.

Administrator CA Pritish Burton Dsa delivered an impactful address, underscoring the essential partnership between parents and the school. He emphasized that without parents’ support, achieving the school’s goals would be impossible and urged parents to prioritize their children’s studies while ensuring that school and bus fees are paid on time.
CA Pritish highlighted recent improvements, including a renovated computer lab, smart boards, girls’ washrooms, xerox facilities, water systems, and a borewell. Future plans include enhancing the school ground for sports, developing a garden, and resolving bus-related issues in the coming year.

He praised the dedication of the teachers, made English speaking compulsory, and assured that hard work would be recognized and rewarded. CA Pritish thanked Correspondent Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza, Alumni President Mr. Glen Larson Rebello, Headmistress Mrs. Sandra Lobo and Management Committee members Mr. Joel Dsa, Mr. Ivan Menezes and Mrs. Precila Lobo for their continued support.
In his presidential address, Correspondent Rev. Fr. George Thomas D’Souza thanked Administrator CA Pritish Burton Dsa for his excellent work toward the development of the institution.Rev. Fr. D’Souza highlighted the need for teachers and parents to function as a united team and requested full cooperation from everyone to support the school’s ongoing progress.

Mrs. Chethana proposed the vote of thanks.

The meeting concluded at 11:45 a.m. with the solemn rendition of the National Anthem.
