Valedictory Ceremony
Moodubelle, Nov 29:
St. Lawrence English Medium School, Moodubelle, concluded its two-day Annual Sports Day with a grand Valedictory Ceremony held on 29th November, marked by pride, enthusiasm, and a spirit of sportsmanship.
The ceremony was graced by Sports Day Chief Guest Mr. Eric Arthur D’Sa, Miss Elita D’Sa, Administrator CA Pritish Burton D’Sa, Management Committee Members Mr. Joel D’Sa , Mr Ivan Menezes ,Mrs Precilla Lobo, Alumni Association President Mr. Glen Larson Rebello, and Headmistress of the school Mrs. Sandra Lucica Lobo. Parents, teachers, and students were also present in large numbers.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, acknowledging their support and presence.
Addressing the gathering, Administrator CA Pritish Burton D’Sa congratulated all students for their enthusiastic participation and reminded them that “failure is the stepping stone to success.” He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the teachers and expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest for his generous contribution of ₹55,555 towards the betterment of the school and ₹10,000 towards Sports Day.
As part of the closing rituals, Mr. Eric Arthur D’Sa ceremonially extinguished the Sports Lamp, and Miss Elita D’Sa lowered the school flag with dignity. The P.E.T teacher, Mr. Bharath, then formally handed over the flag to the Headmistress, marking the official closure of the Sports Meet.
Delivering his message, the Chief Guest encouraged the students to uphold discipline, teamwork, and perseverance both in sports and in life.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the Annual Sports Day 2025-26.
The ceremony was compered by Teacher Mrs Joyce Dsa
